The question isn’t so much WILL Shania ever pose for Playboy, the question is more likely will Shania’s fans ALLOW her to pose for Playboy. With the Dixie Chicks and all the fallout they received for a simple comment, would Shania baring her breasts be any less of a shot heard around the world. Fans would burn her CDs, they’d shut down their Shania fan sites and yes, they’d even go so far as to send her death threats. These would of course come from all the loyal, devoted fans who defend her so passionately now because she’s their good little Shania. You have to wonder how much hate mail she received when she was seen wearing her cleavage revealing gown at the Kennedy Center Honors (along with no bra and perky nipples), or when she grabbed her milkbags and gave them a good shake in her “I Ain’t No Quitter” video. Shania milkshake anyone???

So how do you think the fans would react to a Spanish Playboy magazine pictorial with another girl?

A lot of fans are probably wondering if Shania will be making a return to music. She’s been out of the spotlight for a long time now and might have lost some of her passion for performing. That’s not to say she doesn’t like writing or singing, just that other things in her life have become more important. Like the rest of us, Shania needs to get away and golf, skydive, ride her horses, or travel and see the world. Basically, doing all the things most people enjoy doing in their off time. Personally I think it’s great that she’s taking the time to enjoy life after a long and grueling life devoted to her music. Now she should use her freedom to get wild and crazy.

Now if only she would realize that posing for Playboy isn’t a bad thing. OK, maybe it is because Playboy is not the classy magazine it used to be. It’s a lot more cheap and exploitative to women. I’d have to say Penthouse is the new leader in men’s magazines. I could see Shania posing topless for a pictorial for a book about her, somewhat like Madonna’s Sex book, but something more… Shania like. No Shania wouldn’t do bondage or have sex with other girls in her book, but with pictures like the one below, she wouldn’t need to. Shania would look so incredible, just showing off her absolutely perfect chest.It’s not like she has to worry about her image because I can’t see her hurting it with a tasteful topless set of pictures. Maybe one day she’ll consider it… before she becomes a grandmother.
